Why AIIMS doctors gave CPR to a kid in mid-air?

Five doctors of AIIMS, New Delhi have performed CPR on a two year old mid-air. The child was unconscious and cyanosed. Cyanosis is a medical term used to describe a bluish or purplish discoloration of the skin, mucous membranes, or nails. It occurs when there is a decrease in the amount of oxygen-rich hemoglobin in the blood, leading to an increase in the concentration of deoxygenated hemoglobin.
