A wet sprint race at the Red Bull Ring saw Max Verstappen secure first place after a nail-biting first-lap battle with teammate Sergio Perez. Carlos Sainz was able to put his Ferrari on the final podium place while the other Ferrari of Charles Leclerc finished all the way down in 12th. A big winner during the sprint was Nico Hulkenberg of Haas, finishing the sprint in P6.
